Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon confirms Maria heartbreak amid bloody Theo reveal

Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon has hinted that heartbreak appears to be on the horizon for Maria Connor.
Over the past few weeks, fans of the ITV soap have grown hugely suspicious of what Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) are hiding.
The two characters were once in a relationship, so the prospect of them having an affair behind Maria and Kit Green’s (Jacob Roberts) backs is definitely a possibility.
However, after a flashback scene aired that saw Gary standing over some scaffolding and looking at Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) dead body, audience members are also speculating that he and Sarah know more about the abuser’s murder than they are letting on.
A number of questions will be answered next week, as Maria, Gary, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), and also Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) arrive at Sarah and Kit’s flat for a dinner party.
The episode kicks off with a flashforward – the remnants of a dinner party from Hell. Broken glass, a chair upended and blood splattered across the table cloth.
We then rewind as Kit reminds Sarah about their date night and suggests they go food shopping at lunchtime, but when Kit receives a text from Sarah cancelling their lunchtime trip, Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) teases him that Sarah’s had a better offer.
Maria overhears this and her already-paranoid mind goes into overdrive.
Spotting Sarah leaving the builders yard, Kit eyes his love with deep suspicion, clearly as unsettled as Maria.
In the Rovers, Sarah invites Todd and Summer to join her and Kit for dinner and, in retaliation, after he spots her whispering to Gary, Kit suggests Gary and Maria might like to join them also.
Gary and Sarah freeze whilst Maria accepts his invitation. What does Kit have in store?

You could cut the tension with a knife as Todd, Summer, Gary and Maria arrive for the dinner party, and Maria can’t resist aiming some catty comments at Sarah.
Kit, meanwhile, does his best to get Gary on his own, making pointed remarks about everyone’s motive to lie.
With the party in rapidly spinning out of control, Kit serves up the main course, but as Maria begins a vitriolic toast to the hosts, she then announces that Gary and Sarah have been having an affair for weeks.
It seems a great deal of drama is waiting for Maria. Ahead of these scenes, star Samia Longchambon has taken to her Instagram to tease the dinner party that a number of Weatherfield residents definitely won’t want to remember.
The star wrote in the caption: ‘Next Monday 22nd. The knives (and forks) are out @coronationstreet. Any guesses what’s gonna be revealed at the #dinnerparty ???! 🤯🤪😭❤️💔’.
The use of the broken heart emoji in Samia’s caption is particularly intriguing, given the ongoing speculation that Maria’s partner Gary is cheating.
Is Maria’s marriage about to fall apart?
Or could the heartbreak be linked to something else?
As we tumble into flashbacks, Theo’s murderer is finally unmasked, but with more than one party guest at the table with a motive, who did kill Theo? And what’s more, how does the evening end with blood splattered across the table?
