Hussen allegedly unpacked the drugs with other suspects and drove to a property in Blacktown, where police arrested her.

According to The Sun, investigators claimed to have found 32 bags in the home, which were the same as those used to hide the drugs.

Police then seized electronic devices and a notebook pending further investigation and took Hussen to jail, where she will remain until her next court appearance in August.

Local police said: ‘The seizure of these drugs – with an estimated street value of $296 million – has prevented a potential 3.2 million deals from reaching Australian streets and demonstrates the AFP’s ability to operate seamlessly across borders.’

They added: ‘Criminal syndicates will go to great lengths to disguise illicit drugs, including embedding them in everyday goods like charcoal, but our highly skilled officers are trained to see beyond these attempts.’

Hussen has not acted since 2013, when she appeared in Redemption (also known as Hummingbird) alongside Jason Statham.

Before this, she appeared in series two of short-lived EastEnders spin-off E20, which aired from 2010 to 2011.
