Glowing EastEnders star marries long-term partner in intimate ceremony

Former EastEnders star Gurlaine Kaur Garcha has revealed her beautiful wedding celebration after tying the knot with long-term partner, Max.
The star portrayed the role of Ash Panesar in the show from 2019-2023. Ash is the daughter of Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry).
The actress, 32, shared some pictures and videos of the big day on social media, with the simple caption ‘17.6.26❣️’.
The couple beamed as they left the venue, holding hands and laughing with Max, who waved to their awaiting friends.
Gurlaine kept things chic and modern, wearing a belted halterneck white top for a dramatic backless look, which she paired with coordinating white trousers.
Of course, her former co-stars were in the comments and sending their congratulations, including Denise Fox actor Diane Parish, who wrote: ‘Congrats!’
‘Congratulations,’ said Patsy Palmer while Emma Barton, who plays Honey Mitchell, penned: ‘Gorgeous… congratulations beautiful.’
Gurlaine confirmed the proposal from Max last June, posting a picture sipping on a drink in Ibiza, Spain, with the ring on her finger shining in the sun.
Around the same time, her EastEnders character Ash was also discovered to have got engaged, which Suki’s wife, Eve Urwin, discovered on social media.
Ash Panesar’s final on-screen scenes aired in 2023 after she was offered a job in Canada.
Much to the disgust of her dad, Nish, she decided to accept, but it came after Suki used some reverse psychology to push her towards the decision.

Controlling Nish was furious when he worked out what Suki had done, and took it upon himself to try and convince his daughter to stay.
Ash, however, had seemingly caught onto his controlling behaviour, and asked him to consider giving Suki a project of her own to be in charge of.
On her exit from the show, Gurlaine had teased a potential return one day, penning: ‘That’s a wrap on Ash, for now. It’s been an amazing three and a half years here at EastEnders.
‘Thank you so much to all the viewers that have loved Ash and her journey… Hopefully it’s not goodbye forever. So you never know, I may see you again soon. But for now, it’s bye, and thank you so much.’
Last year, she appeared in Amazon Prime Video series The Girlfriend alongside Olivia Cooke, Laurie Davidson, and Robin Wright.
