‘That’s not confirmed!’ Emmerdale legend breaks silence on ‘dream’ co-star’s exit
Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley has commented on the report her co-star is leaving the ITV soap, stating that it currently hasn’t been ‘confirmed’.
Lisa’s soap alter-ego Mandy Dingle is mum to Vinny Dingle, who is played by Bradley Johnson. Earlier this year, news was shared that the actor is allegedly departing the show.
The mother and son duo are loved by Emmerdale fans. A couple of years ago, Mandy and Vinny faced a major hurdle when Tina Dingle (Samantha Powers) returned to the village. It was confirmed that Tina is Vinny’s biological mum, and he had to deal with the difficult emotions surrounding this revelation, while attempting to work out whether he actually wanted a relationship with Tina.
Emmerdale hasn’t officially confirmed Bradley’s exit yet, which means there’s a lot of speculation whenever his departure is discussed.
As a result, when Lisa was asked about saying goodbye to Bradley in a recent interview, she had to stay tight-lipped.

‘That’s not confirmed!’, she stated in a chat with the Daily Express at this year’s TRIC Awards.
‘I don’t know where that’s come from! I can’t confirm nor deny. He’s my dream. We are like family. We’re so close. You can see how much we laugh. We’re a family at Emmerdale and we are really happy.’
As well as confirming that we won’t be saying goodbye to her Emmerdale character anytime soon, Lisa also teased what lies ahead for Mandy in the near future.
And it’s definitely going to be interesting.
‘Mandy is not happy with Kev. She can spot a rogue a mile off can’t she? Watch out Kev, the smother mother might be coming out. Then again, with Kev, over time, they could grow closer.’
Played by Chris Coghill, Kev Townsend returned to our screens a few days ago. The character is the biological father of Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches), who decides to give Kev a chance in future episodes.
This new dynamic has the potential to impact Lewis’ relationship with Vinny, who will no doubt be reminded of his unhinged and violent father Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale) while being around Kev.
It certainly looks like the foundations for Vinny’s departure are being laid, but will he exit because of Kev?
Elsewhere, a number of other Emmerdale stars are also reportedly leaving.
Before 2026 ends, it’s said that we will say goodbye to Olivia Bromley who plays Dawn Taylor, and show icon Nick Miles, who’s character Jimmy King is allegedly set to be killed off.
We will also see Doctor Caitlin Todd’s (Caroline Harker) final scenes air soon, following a flashforward that confirmed she will be murdered by someone.
