Hollyoaks character makes jaw-dropping comeback after Warren murder shock

Did you call this twist?

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday’s episode (22 July), which is available to watch now on streaming service Channel 4 and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

Hollyoaks has aired a major twist that changes everything in the huge storyline involving Warren Fox and his brother Jenson Cole. This week, Gemma Johnson and her dodgy colleagues took Jenson hostage for allegedly stealing one of their crypto wallets – that was in fact taken by Warren

Warren was furious that Jenson was a no-show for his bone marrow transplant to save Sebastian’s life, and Gemma led him to a warehouse where Jenson was tied to a chair with a bag over his head.

While Warren intended to take Jenson to the hospital, when he got word that Dodger was a match for Sebastian and would be his donor instead, Warren decided to get rid of his brother once and for all and shot him twice – to the horror of Prince.

In today’s episode, Mercedes told Warren that Sebastian’s bone marrow transplant had been a success, but his mind was on the events of the previous day.

Back at home, Warren found a note from Jenson in his jacket pocket, explaining that he’d buried the rest of the crypto wallets in the woods and giving directions to find them.

Warren indeed found the wallets in the woods and began to realise that he’d made a mistake by killing his brother. But meanwhile, it was revealed that Jenson was in fact alive and well!

Jenson previously revealed to Gemma that he’d moved the crypto wallets and she therefore needed him alive. She then set up a deadly scenario to prove to Jenson that Warren was only using him for Sebastian and would get rid of him once he gets what he wants.

Gemma knocked out her heavy Billy and made Jenson switch clothes with him, so it was Billy who Warren shot and killed – though Jenson raged at Gemma for manipulating Warren into believing he was the puppet master of this scheme.

With Jenson and Gemma continuing to cautiously team up, what will they do next? Plus, with Warren’s guilt growing, when will he realise that he didn’t actually kill his own brother?
