All EastEnders spoilers for next week as major show legend faces the end

It’s time to face the music for Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) next week in EastEnders, as his day in court finally arrives.

With Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) struggling with her guilt over Jordan Fox’s (Jahsaiah Williams) accident, she agrees to help Ian as best as she can, but when she’s delayed on her way to the court, will she arrive in time? And even if she does, can she do anything to help?

George Knight (Colin Salmon) continues to suffer in the aftermath of Eddie Knight’s (Christopher Fairbank) death, and his torment manifests next week as the chasm between him and Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington), continues to grow. Can they fix their broken relationship, or is their love doomed by Eddie’s final moments?

Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) continues to pull the strings from his cell, as his puppet, grandma Sheila (Sheila Ruskin), continues to enact his sinister strategies in Walford. With Chelsea where he wants her, and a new scheme brewing in his mind, what’s his next move?

Elsewhere, the wind is taken out of Sharon Watts’ (Letitia Dean) sails by Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), and she turns to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) for answers, while Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) continues to get closer to Clive Masters (Jason Durr).

Monday, July 27

When Ian’s lawyer arrives with good news, he defies his bail conditions and seeks out Chelsea for help, but she’s unwilling to listen.

Later, she crumbles under the weight of her guilt, calls him back and promises to help. While Chelsea and Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) are delayed on their way to court, Ian nervously awaits her appearance.

Meanwhile, a face from George’s past emerges with some difficult questions regarding his decision to now allow Eddie to be buried alongside Gloria Knight (Elizabeth Counsell).

Tuesday, July 28

Chelsea relays her guilt over Jordan’s accident to Sheila, who heads straight to Gray to tell him, though his reaction unsettles her. Later, a prison commotion inspires Gray, who begins to form a plot.

Elaine tries her hardest to support George as the issues between him and Nicola continue to grow, though things turn heated when a misunderstanding develops.

Elsewhere, Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace)  and Sharon catch up and notice Linda on a lunch date with Clive, while Nicola again clashes with Suki and Eve Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal and Heather Peace).

Wednesday, July 29

George visits Gloria’s grave, eaten up by guilt. When he’s found later by Eve and Jean Slater (Gillian Wright), alone and drunk on a bench, he and Eve talk deeply.

Linda rallies the residents to support her bid to save the community centre, amid teasing from the women about her dalliance with Clive, and she later agrees to a second date, but Sharon is stunned by a passing comment from Elaine.

Also, Phil tries his best to help smooth the bad feeling between Nicola and George, but she wants no part of it, while Chelsea’s behaviour causes Sheila concern.

Thursday, July 30

Chelsea realises she must let Sheila see Jordan, before she admits to her role in Jordan’s accident, disgusting Denise Fox (Diane Parish). Later, she tells Jordan the truth about who Sheila is and allows them to spend more time together, despite the concern of the Fox-Truemans.

Nicola drafts Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) in to help her deal with George. As she tries to get to the root of what’s eating George, the two open up to each other before sharing an incredibly emotional moment.

Meanwhile, rattled by what Elaine told her, Sharon heads to Phil, determined to get answers
