EastEnders’ Max Branning and Cindy Beale announce the date for their wedding next week – but when seductive Priya Nandra-Hart makes an effort to impress him, could lothario Max’s affair derail his marriage plans?
Despite Max’s secret mistress looming large in his life, things feel good between him and Cindy. As a result, the smitten pair lock in the date for their upcoming nuptials – and it’s none other than New Year’s Day!

“It looks as though Cindy is Max’s doomed flashforward bride after all,” says our Walford insider. “Saying that, Max has some form as a womaniser, so five months is still plenty of time for him to dump Cindy and pop the question to someone else.
“Whether it’s Cindy wearing white or not, we know that Max’s wedding day will end with him behind bars rather than jetting off on his honeymoon!”
Although Max is determined to forge full steam ahead with his marriage plans, he still has Priya to answer to; and later at the car lot, a surprise performance from his clandestine lover has Max taken aback.
Will Priya’s unexpected efforts sway Max and change his wedding plans as soon as they’ve been made? Or is it full steam ahead for a union between Max and Cindy, which is surely set to leave the blushing bride alone at the altar?
This week, Max and Cindy were at odds over Peter’s discovery that Lauren had been selling dodgy cars with Mark. After furious Peter kicked Lauren out of the house, Max and Cindy also clashed in the aftermath as they discussed their kids.

After their row, Max was drawn to Priya again, and after a flirtation at work, the pair returned to Max and Cindy’s flat to continue their sordid affair.
But what they didn’t realise was that Jean had offered to clean the flat for Cindy, to generate some much-needed cash. As Jean arrived to start work, Priya emerged from the bedroom – and Jean uncovered her and Max’s secret liaison.
Priya tried to convince Jean to keep quiet, and she was given some harsh truths about Max. But when Priya told Max that Jean knows everything, he was enraged. Has this series of events pushed Max back to Cindy?
