Emmerdale’s Dr Todd DEAD: Spoilers reveal fallout – but is Sarah leaving?
Dr Todd is dead on Emmerdale after a showdown with Charity Dingle saw Sarah Sugden accidentally murder the villain on the ITV soap on Sunday, with spoilers teasing what comes next
Dr Todd is dead on Emmerdale and her killer has been revealed.
Sarah Sugden was confirmed as Todd’s killer after a showdown saw an accidental murder twist. Sarah did not actually intend to kill Todd, and it was entirely a freak accident
Sarah shoved Todd, wanting her to leave, only for Todd to slip on the rug and slam her head against a table. We heard Todd taking her last breath as she hit the floor, with a bloody cut on her head.
Sarah and her grandmother Charity Dingle watched in horror, as Todd lay dead on the floor. Fans will know that Todd had come back to the village after weeks away to accuse Charity if lying about her, following the closure of a police investigation.
Charity reported Todd after Todd had sexually assaulted her in horrific scenes. Todd had previously blackmailed Charity over her baby lie, with Todd having found out that baby Leyla is Charity’s daughter with Ross Barton.
Sarah currently thinks Leyla is her child after Charity was a surrogate for her. It was this secret that Todd was about to share to her, leaving Charity rattled and demanding she left.
Sarah was in a state having just walked in on Charity confronting Todd about her rape ordeal. Charity wanted a confession, but Todd refused and instead said she was a liar.
So when Sarah confronted Todd for being a monster and Dr Todd laughed, Sarah saw red. She didn’t want Todd to get away with everything, but Charity wanted Todd gone so that the baby lie wasn’t exposed.
Charity told Todd to leave, backed by Sarah who screamed at her. It’s then that she pushed Todd and sent her flying, causing her death.

As they reel over their actions, their lives are turned upside down. But what will they do next, and will Sarah be forced to leave the village if her crime is exposed?
If this isn’t tense enough, Charity is still holding onto another secret. The baby lie still at this point has not been rumbled, so how much longer can Charity keep it quiet for?
On Monday we will see this secret weigh over her, as she clings to it and hopes to keep it from Sarah. Around this, we will see Sarah, and Charity, reacting to Todd’s death and what has just happened.
If Sarah is caught out, it could mean an exit for the character. So is Sarah set for prison, and will actress Katie Hill be leaving the role? All will be revealed in the coming episodes.
