Jimmy’s future destroyed in cruel twist of fate – and Emmerdale tragedy is set to follow

Things are looking bleak for Jimmy King (Nick Miles) in Emmerdale.
It’s bad enough his wife is rapidly falling out of love for him, having accused him of cheating and lamenting that he doesn’t have a romantic bone in his body. But now his business is set to take a lifechanging hit.
We know as well that Jimmy is leaving the soap in a body bag, and the downfall of his business might be the slippery slope.
Nicola realises that the B&B is not doing well at all and Jimmy needs to step up with the haulage company. He secures a new deal and this could be the windfall that they need to keep afloat. Ruby (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb Miligan (William Ash) have other ideas, one that could fully destroy the business owner.
Ruby plans to intercept this new deal of Jimmy’s and she plans to do it by blackmailing Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill). She has in her possession proof that he attacked Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and left him for dead, which if released, would send him right back to prison.

‘She uses [the evidence] to blackmail Kev into doing a job to stitch Jimmy up, which is complicated for Kev because Jimmy is Nicola’s husband and he’s trying to make things a bit better with Nicola as well, because of her relationship with his son,’ Chris Coghill sets the scene for us.
It’s awkward for Kev but he has no choice. Kev is forced into doing the job for her but is royally annoyed when he discovers he’s just stolen a shipment of nappies. 3000 nappies to be exact. So he’s done over the people he’s trying to get onside and has nothing to show for it.
Will Ash explained this complicated manoeuvre.
‘What they do for Jimmy is, so he can have the same wage coming in, because he’s getting a big lump sum from them buying it, but they’re keeping it so he can keep it quiet from Nicola, because she doesn’t know about it.

‘He keeps a regular wage so on the surface, it looks like everything is fine with Nicola, but the paper work has Caleb’s name at the top. But it is a bit of a stitch up. It’s a lot of a stitch up.’
Sounds exactly like the last straw for Nicola when she finds out. Could she see red and accidentally help Jimmy shuffle off his mortal coil in a fit of rage?
Or could the plot twist be darker, could the financial burden and the crumbling of his marriage see him find his own tragic way out of the situation?
