In tonight’s Emmerdale, Serena’s secret connection to another character is revealed – will this hidden alliance spark trouble for the villagers?
Meanwhile, Jimmy’s hopes of rescuing the haulage firm are destroyed as Kev teams up with Ruby.

1. Trouble for Charity as DS Ramsden’s suspicions grow

No-nonsense DS Ramsden pays an early morning visit to The Woolpack and is surprised to find Serena there with Charity. She rebukes the pair for not mentioning that Serena works at The Woolpack.
In Ramsden’s view, Serena’s connection to Charity should have been disclosed earlier and sheds new light on the statement she gave to protect her. However, Charity rightly fires back that everyone in Emmerdale knows each other so this isn’t the smoking gun that Ramsden thinks!
2. A new Serena twist is revealed

Despite their frosty encounters whenever anyone else is around, a secret friendship is soon revealed between Serena and Ramsden, who already know each other through the police.
The pair are much warmer towards each other away from prying eyes, meeting for an off-the-record chat. But it’s not just Charity who is the topic of conversation…
3. Kev is drawn back into dodgy dealings

Despite initially refusing to carry out a criminal job for Ruby, eager-to-please Kev changes his mind as he wants to help Lewis fund his secret wedding dream.
Kev agrees to steal the shipment that Jimmy is relying on to save the struggling haulage firm. While this destabilises Jimmy’s hopes, Kev is furious when the stolen loot turns out to be nappies!
4. Jacob blames himself

Jacob is upset that Sarah has been shutting him out since Dr Todd’s death. He tells his wife that he blames himself for bringing Dr Todd into their lives – and assumes that she feels the same way since she’s being so distant around him.
Sarah assures Jacob that this isn’t the case, but is she any closer to telling Jacob what really happened on the day that Todd died?
5. Charity sticks to her false story

Under pressure to explain her recent strange behaviour, Charity brings more of her loved ones in on her “confession” that she killed Todd deliberately rather than in self-defence.
Viewers know that this isn’t the truth, but what will the other Dingles make of it all?
