Hollyoaks to air emotional turning point in Vicky’s worrying health story

Hollyoaks is set to air an emotional turning point in Vicky Grant’s health storyline next week, and hopefully it’s a step in the right direction for her.
Vicky has been struggling with her body image for the last few months, spurred on by a bad modelling experience. She initially started using weight-loss injections, but this later turned into an eating disorder.

In scenes set to air next week, Vicky’s dad Donny Clark realises that she might be struggling with disordered eating.
Rather than tiptoeing around the issue, he decides to take a more blunt approach.
Around the table at lunch, the family try to get her to open up about her struggle. Later on, Donny asks Vicky to have dinner with the family every single night. Will his plan work, or just make things worse?

“Vicky has largely been suffering in silence as she battles an eating disorder,” says our insider. “But after the dramatic events of Imran and Leah’s wedding day, Donny has realised that his daughter is seriously struggling.
“Donny isn’t exactly very tactful though and addresses his concerns in a way that doesn’t exactly help the situation. The whole family then comes together and reaches out to Vicky, but can they get through to her?”
Elsewhere, Donny and Misbah are going to go through some tough times, thanks to everything that’s happening with Vicky, Imran and Gemma – the latter of whom is secretly the leader of a criminal gang!
