Very few people in Emmerdale would relish the thought of meeting Sadie King (Patsy Kensit).

This soap siren of the Dales may know how to make a classy entrance in a helicopter, and pull off ‘evil-chic’ with a wardrobe rivalled only by the great Kim Tate (Claire King) but don’t be fooled. Behind the designer sunglasses lies pure, cold evil – as the villagers of Emmerdale know too well.

Since the day she sashayed her way into Home Farm, the villainous Vixen has caused nothing but chaos, embarking on torrid affairs behind her then-husband Jimmy King (Nick Miles) back with his own brother Matthew King, not mention Robert Sugden. Not only that, but she swindled Zoe Tate (Leah Bracknell) out of Home Farm, leaving a young Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) without his childhood home.

The cherry on top of Sadie’s evil sundae however, was paying Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) to sabotage the King family’s River show home, causing the Kings’ River explosion that caused the death of three Emmerdale residents.

Ultimately, Sadie’s infamous lust for revenge proved her own downfall. Her plot with Cain to kidnap her own father-in-law, Tom King backfired spectacularly when she was double-crossed by the duplicitous Dingle, who running off with the£2,000,000 ransom.

Now the Queen of Kings is making a triumphant return , it’s bad news for everyone whoever crossed her – which is about half the village.

Needless to say, it will be bad news for Cain should the two former partners in crime cross – and he’s not the only one. It’s been heavily hinted that Jimmy will meet his tragic demise, and surely it can be no coincidence that his conniving ex is back on the scene.

Other crosses fans with be clamoring for will include Jimmy’s husband Nicola (Nicola Wheeler), who knew Sadie back in the day and relished seeingthe scheming businesswoman’s life go up in smoke. Then there’s Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), who was always on the verge of tearing Sadie’s hair out over their bitter rivalry. Let’s not forget Joe Tate, who presumably grew up hearing about the double-crossing witch stole stole his childhood home.

Finally, the Lady of the Manor herself – Kim. Although the tyrannical Tate never crossed with Sadie, she will surely know of her by reputation. The catty barbs these two are sure to trade have me reaching for my TV remote already.

Out of all the characters in the village that this classic villain could cross with, probably the last person you’d think of is Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches).

The quirky but cool barista of Emmerdale’s beloved Cafe Main Street may not seem like an obvious choice to rub shoulders with Sadie, but actor Bradley Riches recently revealed that there’s fan demand for his character to meet the legend – especially after the two got on like a house on fire backstage.

‘I bumped into Patsy Kensit behind stage, She was very welcoming, I was trying to welcome her back as well. I saw a lot of comments in my social media. ‘Patsy is coming back! Is that true?’ We need a Lewis and Patsy scene’ Apparently, she’s a bit of a gay icon!’

That tracks. Fabulous wardrobe. Absolutely gorgeous and spills more tea than Lewis during rush hour at Cafe Main Street.

It’s easy to imagine Sadie getting on well with Lewis and exchanging some fun banter. After all, Lewis was able to strike up a bond with steely-eyed sociopath Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) and that was before he even knew that they were father and son.Incidentally of course, Lewis has been a bit too busy to meet anyone lately, with the whole ‘being kidnapped’ thing.

Lewis got kidnapped! (Picture: ITV)

Since chaos follows Sadie like sheep follow Sugdens, it’s not out of the realms of possibility to imagine her tangling with Kev in some capacity – criminal or otherwise.

How would Lewis react to meeting this giant of the soap world? And more importantly – what would her drink of choice be? Bradley Riches reckons he has the answer.

‘I will definitely get her a matcha. I don’t know if she’s a matcha girl. Maybe a floral tea is her energy. Or an Earl Grey with a dash of milk. That’s quite boojie. Is she a boojie character? She gives big boojie energy in real life. That’s the beauty of working in a café. Even if it’s just one scene, you come across so many characters. I feel like I’ve worked with almost every characters. It will be really fun to welcome her into the café anytime!’

Sadie’s time back in Emmerdale maybe brief, but surely she will have to nip in to the Cafe for a caffeine injection between schemes?
