Mysterious Serena confirms connection to dead killer John in Emmerdale

There’s been all sorts of chat about who Serena (Casey Al-Shaqsy) is and what she wants from the Emmerdale village.

She could be about to cause a whole heap of trouble when it’s discovered she’s linked to John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).

John was killed by his sister Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) during a struggle in the woods where he tried to kill her, but as far as the police are concerned, he took his own life.

Vic then had to scarper the village because the fear of getting caught as a killer became too much. So, someone arriving in town with a link to the dead murderous medic is a touch problematic.

Serena’s arrival was all a bit weird too – accosting a distressed Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) as she stood at the edge of a lake battling her mental health.

Serena appeared from the bushes as a kindly stranger and offered Charity a shoulder to cry on, which she took.

But why would Serena want to help a stranger? And is Charity now at risk due to someone else now knowing her woes?

Something seems pretty off here.

Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) senses it too, getting negative vibes when Serena mentions she knows all about Robert Sugden’s (Ryan Hawley) dead murderous brother John (Oliver Farnworth). How much does she know?!

But Sarah’s not above helping a girl out, and when she learns Serena is living in her car, she offers her a place to stay.

Sounds like both Sarah and Charity will rue the day they took this woman in, unless the move is purely strategic. What does Serena want?
