Hollyoaks finally confirms life-changing Beth and Maddox twist in mysterious story
The harassment reaches boiling point.

Hollyoaks aired a life-changing twist for Beth and Maddox Keane in tonight’s episode, as the secret she’d tried to keep hidden for 16 years was revealed to viewers.
The episode started with Beth and Jonah receiving a text on the burner phone. They wondered why “she” could be trying to ruin their lives after such a long time.

“It was a mistake burning that flower order. She’s got it in for me now, what are we gonna do?” Beth stressed, before floating the idea of throwing the phone in the river.
Frankie and Caleb then entered the room, and it didn’t take long for Beth to voice her disapproval of their blossoming relationship. Though Jonah said that they’d make a great couple.
Later on, the two decided to organise a BBQ at the Osborne house in order to prove to Beth that she has no reason to be against them.
As everyone else went outside, the phone rang… asking for Beth. We didn’t hear what the other person said, but whatever it was left Beth stunned. When Darren and everyone asked who was on the line, she tried playing it off as an angry customer who had somehow looked up the Osborne’s phone number, and left.

Frankie went to the Keane household and spoke to Jonah, sharing her theory that Beth’s ex is trying to get in touch in with her. While she said she understood that it’s put Beth on edge, Frankie demanded that she drop the vendetta.
After Frankie left, Beth told Jonah that she’d received another threatening message, this time mentioning Charlie Dean. She made the decision to leave the village with Maddox in tow.
Jonah asked her to reconsider, but Beth wouldn’t risk letting “her” back into their lives, before viewers found out her big secret.
“If Maddox finds out that I’m not his real mum…” she said, tearfully, “that would kill him”.
