Police drama unfolds as Bear loses it with Caleb in Emmerdale over terrifying discovery

Caleb Miligan’s (William Ash) foray back into the world of crime will have some unexpected consequences in Emmerdale.
Caleb is dabbling in counterfeit goods after a teenager with a laptop showed him to be out of touch with his criminal past. After being inspired by Kerry Wyatt’s (Laura Norton) fake-not-fake purse, he decided to start playing below the law to make a quick buck, believing it to be a victimless crime. But he is wrong.
He’s also still proving to be naïve, after recently asserting that none of the fake goods he’s peddling came from sweatshops. As someone who also believed his daughter needed £5k for a deposit on a flat in London (London?), it’s easy to understand.
Sweatshops are most definitely involved, which are modern slavery outfits. And as we all know, Caleb has a former modern slave on his payroll – Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards).

Bear was held captive and forced to carry out labour on Celia’s farm. A hugely traumatic and terrifying experience that saw him fighting for freedom when he was arrested on murder charges for killing his captor.
As their counterfeit scheme continues, Caleb is forced to warn Kerry to keep her mouth shut about it. She’s being blatant about it all, and Bear witnesses their interactions.
Kerry finds a shoe with a label sewn into it saying, ‘help me’. This is mega bad news as it proves once and for all Caleb was wrong about the sweatshops. She’s horrified and urges Caleb to take it to the police. But his moral compass has been knocked off its magnetic field and all he’s thinking about his own skin and his profits.
But Bear finds the shoe.

Bear loses it that they could be endorsing such a terrible scheme, and Kerry is taken aback by his fierce reaction. Have they forgotten that his friend Anya died at the hands of his modern slavery captors? Kerry is shocked but not surprised to learn Caleb has not gone to the police.
Caleb hears Bear out and his right-hand man Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) is clued in on the situation – telling his boss he needs to do the right thing. But the profits, Billy!
Caleb stalls but Billy isn’t daft. Instead, Caleb pivots. Clearly the accessories business is too risky for Caleb. When Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) chats to him about the mark up of branded vs non branded car parts, Caleb gets his next idea.
But will Bear keep quiet about what he’s found?
