Terror for Leela in Hollyoaks as four guns are pointed at her
Leela Dexter (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) is in danger next week in Hollyoaks as what she believes to be a meeting with ex Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed) takes an unexpected turn.
The teens reckon that Leela is having an affair with Maddox’s (Sam Meyer) stepdad Jonah (Matthew Wolfenden) and thus they come up with a plot to prove it, leaving her a note with plans to meet – signing the letter from ‘J’.
Leela, meanwhile, receives a visit from Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin), who reveals that Joel has been in touch with her about seeing baby Joseph – and that he’s set to be released from prison soon.
Joel, as fans will recall, was jailed for the murder of Tommy Odenkirk (Brandon Fellows), though it turned out the crime was actually committed by serial killer Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield).
When the truth was revealed, Joel got the murder charges dropped but he was forced to remain behind bars for GBH charges and thus was moved to Scotland to serve the rest of his sentence.
Cleo is unsure about what to do regarding letting Joel see Joseph and thus she seeks advice from Leela, hoping she’s on the same page about the situation.
But said situation takes a turn when Leela receives the letter from ‘J’ and comes to believe that it’s from Joel, who she reckons wants to meet up.
After giving it some thought, Leela opts to meet ‘J’ at the meeting spot, but she gets a big shot when four masked strangers emerge, with paintball guns pointed directly at her.
The question is: just what will transpire? And how far with the culprits go?
Later, the teens attempt to act like they were at school this whole time, hoping they got away with their actions. However, they wake to the faces of their disappointed parents the following day.
Will Leela be okay? And will those responsible be held to account?
