Cindy’s return to Hollyoaks is absolute chaos as a life comes crashing down
The moment Hollyoaks fans have long waited for is almost upon us as the legendary Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) stages a thunderous comeback to the eponymous village.
Metro confirmed to delighted fans earlier this year that the show queen would be back where she belongs after two years and, in typical Cindy fashion, her comeback story is a high-octane one.
Her first appearance comes later this week as Cindy arrives back in Hollyoaks for the first time since fleeing the village from the sinister Blue in 2024.
And next week, Jack Osborne (Jimmy McKenna) is taken aback when he finds her sleeping on his sofa. In fact, the entire Osborne clan are left reeling at Cindy’s reappearance – and they demand answers about what’s brought her back after all this time.
Before she can answer, however, the police arrive!
Talk about coming back with a bang! It’s just not the Osbornes that are confused about Cindy’s reappearance as Donny Clark (Louis Emerick) is also stunned to learn she’s back home.
Later, Cindy and Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) arrive home to find the Keanes present in the house. Jack introduces Beth (Rebecca Ryan) to her auntie Cindy. Beth acts like it’s the first time they’ve ever met – but as confirmed in the recent trailer, this isn’t the case.
Cindy is loving all the dramatics as the scenes in question unfold and Beth fears that the world around her is about to come crashing down. She and Cindy subsequently talk alone – but just what do they have to say to each other?
We know that Beth has a secret blackmailer – one whose threats loomed so large she contemplated upping sticks and leaving the village. The question is: is Cindy in someway tied to her torment?
That remains to be seen but Darren’s interest is piqued by the mystery surrounding Beth and Cindy – and he he remains unconvinced by Cindy’s version of events. In other words: He wants the truth.
Will he get it? It seems so as – in subsequent scenes – Darren finds out the real reason why Cindy is back.
Cue the drama.
