Summer holidays may be about to begin for a lot of people, but Hollyoaks isn’t letting its characters take it easy over the next few weeks.
The yearly summer trailer has just dropped, and there’s plenty of drama and danger for the residents of Chester, including a highly-anticipated return…

She’s back!
Cindy Cunningham is back, and this time she’s not alone, as her new flatmate Abigail joins her. Not everyone is happy to see Cindy back, and it’s not long before she finds herself in the middle of all the Osborne and Keane drama.
Speaking of Abigail
Cindy’s new flatmate quickly proves to be popular in the village, and is there to provide (passionate) support for Cleo McQueen in a time of need. But then we see her smashing up a bathroom! It looks like our newcomer has some demons…
And that’s not all!
It’s also revealed that Abigail does have a connection to an existing character: she’s Dee Dee Hutchinson’s drugs counsellor. After Diane’s death, Dee Dee is desperate for a mother figure, and is overjoyed to hear that she’s got a job teaching at Hollyoaks High. But is she the role model the youngster really needs?

Things are going well for Dee Dee and her blossoming relationship with Maddox, while her brother Ant is totally smitten with Kathleen-Angel. But while it’s great that the teens are finding some happiness, they’re not noticing how much dad Tony is struggling.
