Emmerdale’s Charity petrified by update on vile Dr Todd
Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) took a brave step in her recovery in Emmerdale last night after being sexually assaulted by Doctor Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker).
The character has been feeling incredibly overwhelmed in recent days, as she’s been trying to process her trauma, while dealing with a number of stressful situations that have only been created as a result of everything Charity has been through.
She’s currently busy keeping an eye on Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), who is trying to control his anger whenever he sees Ross Barton (Michael Parr), the father of Leyla.
Because Mack is like a ticking time bomb around Ross at the moment, it increases the risk of Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) discovering the truth about the baby she believes is her own.
The last time this happened, she had taken herself off to a lake in the middle of the woods, and didn’t know how to cope with the secrets she had been keeping. Mack arrived at Vanessa Woodfield’s (Michelle Hardwick) house to ask about Charity, but didn’t get any answers that decreased his anxiety.
It was revealed that Charity had gone to a women’s support group. She found it somewhat beneficial, but later told Vanessa that she felt like a fraud due to the fact none of the women in the room had been assaulted by another female.
Charity headed home after her chat with Vanessa, and told Mackenzie where she had been.
The couple were interruped by a phone call from DS Reid. She informed Charity that she’ll be in the village tomorrow, as she has an update on Doctor Todd.
