A prison threat turns deadly, a beloved couple worry if they’ve bitten off more than they can chew and yet another character faces the prospect of being locked up in Coronation Street next week.
Sarah Platt’s (Tina O’Brien) prison predicament continues to worsen, when her friend-turned-enemy Kacey (Emma Matthews) makes it clear: either she gets Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) to help her son, or something bad will happen to hers. Forced to arm herself with pool balls stuffed into a sock, how far will Sarah have to go?
Tim and Sally Metcalfe (Joe Duttine and Sally Dynevor) continue to struggle with Lucy Parkinson (Anya Dewin), leading Sally to handle whether or not she’s too damaged for them to handle. When Tim makes a grave admission to Lucy, will she take the decision out of their hands?
After entering professional warfare with his dad, Ollie Driscoll (Raphael Akuwudike) finds himself in serious trouble when he rescues Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) from a humiliating assault at the hands of Jake Windass (Bobby Bradshaw). Will Jake own up to what he did, or will Ollie be the latest Weatherfield resident to end up behind bars?
Elsewhere, things heat up between Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) and Brian Packham (Peter Gunn), Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) tries to hold things together for her mum and George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) is back on the street.

Monday, August 24
After accusing Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) of spying on her in the garden, Lucy asks Tim to take her to the undertakers to see her mum, before faltering at the door, wracked with panic, causing Tim to confess to his guilt over the murder later on.
A battle between father and son breaks out when Ollie plans to bring, Jude (Tom Aubrey), an influencer in to review Speed Daal, leading Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) to schedule a craft beer event to steal Jude’s attention, and seemingly succeeds when he stops by to sample the beer.
Meanwhile, Bethany tries her hardest to reassure Sarah that Harry (Joshua Leavy) is doing okay.
Tuesday, August 25
Christina continues to worry about where she stands with George, confiding in Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) that she’s barely heard a word from him. Later, she drunkenly topples over in the ginnel, where Jake finds her and films himself pouring a bottle of water over her, leading Ollie to chase him and pin him to the ground.
The Driscoll clan are in shock when a dishevelled Brian comes downstairs, having spent the night with Maggie, though is crestfallen when he returns later with flowers and overhears her telling Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) that the night was incredibly underwhelming, forcing her to head to the Kabin to apologise.
Elsewhere, initially furious that Sally’s booked her a counselling session, Lucy uses it to bash Sally and Tim, before causing a further ruckus with Joanie and taking a call from her dad, who insists they stick to their story, while Sarah is unnerved to realise Kacey knows her son’s name and Bethany worries when she finds one of Kit’s shirts spotted with blood.
Wednesday, August 26
Having found her photo of Harry defaced, Sarah is terrified, and later when Kacey shows her some pictures of Harry at his new friends house, Sarah calls Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) and begs him to collect Harry and keep him close by, chilled by the thought that his new friends’ mum is in league with Kacey. Later, she arms herself with pool balls stuffed into a sock.
Sally confesses to Tim that she’s unsure if they can cope with Lucy’s extreme trauma and emotional issues, while Ruth (Amy Drake), her social worker appears later to quiz Lucy on her thoughts about her foster home.
Also, Glenda discovers Maggie hiding in the hallway, determined to dodge Brian, while Jake pleads innocence, leading Ollie to be arrested on suspicion of assault, with PC Jess Heywood (Donnaleigh Bailey) warning him that he faces a custodial sentence.
Thursday, August 27
As Christina anxiously prepares for George’s return, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) is floored to find him already back and at work, before George lambasts him for using alcohol to mask his problem, leading him to fire back with what happened to Christina.
As George heads home, Christina pales when he tells her he’s made a decision about their future.
As Kit prepares to intervene to protect Sarah, Bernie Winter-Alahan (Jane Hazlegrove) pulls him back, advising him to focus on himself, while Sarah approaches Kacey’s cell, desperately clutching her newly made weapon.
Concurrently, Jake is wracked with guilt when he overhears Ben telling Gary Windass (Mikey North) that Ollie could end up in prison.
