The Hutchinson family's pain continues.

Tony Hutchinson extends an olive branch to his son Ant following a tense clash in Hollyoaks. Tony has been in pieces following the death of his wife Diane after she was diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer.

In scenes set to air next week, Leela Lomax steps in to help a struggling Tony at The Dog after promising to be by his side following Diane’s death.

Kathleen-Angel tells Ant that he can stay with the McQueens for a while if he needs to, while Ro confides in Tony.

Tony, upset that Ant missed Eva’s birthday tea, hands his son a packed bag of his clothes. He tells Ant that he’s welcome to stay with the McQueens.

Once he has calmed down from their confrontation, Tony sends Ant a voice note explaining that he wants to make amends.

A grateful Tony also offers to pay Leela for her help at The Dog.

“It’s been a hugely difficult time for the Hutchinsons,” says our Hollyoaks insider. “Since Diane’s death, everyone’s emotions have been on the surface, and it doesn’t take much to set off another argument.
