Coronation Street ‘gives away’ who’ll take down Idris after Brody death fears
Coronation Street's latest episode saw one character preparing to target newcomer Idris Nazir after his dodgy dealings, and it could see Idris face a comeuppance
Idris Nazir may need to watch out on Coronation Street, as one character has been tasked with getting revenge on him.
The latest episode saw furious dodgy businesswoman Fiona realise Idris had conned her at the poker night. Calling in a favour with another Weatherfield character, she swore revenge.
Ronnie Bailey was panicked as Fiona said she owed him, and demanded his help in destroying Idris. We then saw Ronnie staring at Idris from across the road, no doubt questioning what he was going to have to do.
There was part of Ronnie though that looked like he’d happily take on the challenge, no doubt knowing about Idris’ recent dodgy behaviour. So will Ronnie take down Idris, and get revenge for Fiona?
Could this be Idris’ comeuppance after he wronged Fiona, and after he also attacked teenager Brody Michaelis? Idris has been terrorising people, causing problems for residents and he’s constantly up to no good.
So it’s about time someone put him in his place. For fans, him attacking and threatening to hurt Brody this week was the final straw, and people want him to pay.
So could Ronnie be the person to do this, with Fiona forcing him to help her? Idris held a secret poker night, and he fixed the game against Fiona to get his hands on her money.
The problem is Fiona now knows about this, and she’s not happy. Not only does she want her money back, but she wants Idris to be put in his place.
She’s told Ronnie that after the missing gun drama, involving Carl Webster, Ronnie owes her. Ronnie got dragged into things when he tried to get Fiona to stay away, and now he’s been tasked with clearing the “debt”.
Fiona said she was making her drama with Idris his problem, and that she would tell him soon what he needed to do to Idris. Fiona said Idris would pay for what he had done, and it seems Ronnie is the one to sort it out.
So what will Ronnie do? Is it as simple as stealing the money, or is Idris in serious danger? It comes after Idris attacked teenager Brody, sparking death fears from viewers.
Brody confronted his boss about Ollie being tasked with tricking Fiona at the poker game, and Idris realised he’d had alcohol. Idris called Brody “sloppy” and a “bad liar”, saying this is why he chose Ollie. A rejected Brody then took his revenge.
As Leanne showed up at the restaurant after the clean-up, Brody dropped Idris in it by confirming the poker night. He told Leanne about the winnings too, making it clear that Idris had used her money.
A furious Leanne told Idris not to bother joining her later before storming out. As Brody laughed, Idris went over to him and attacked him. Pinning him against a wall, he grabbed him before slapping and then grabbing his face.
Idris said: “Think you’re a big man, do you? I don’t care who your dad is. If you ever cross me like that again, you’ll regret it.” A fan said: “I think Idris will kill Brody.”
Another viewer theorised: “I think Brodie’s going to end up asking too many questions or double crossing Idris and that’s how he leaves.”
