EastEnders star breaks silence on Bea exit and reveals explosive end

Every villain has their day, and time is running out for EastEnders’ bunny boiling baddie Bea Pollard. Actress Ronni Ancona spills the tea on her character’s dramatic final showdown on the Square.

You can only keep a lid on cray for so long. When she was introduced at the start of the year, Bea seemed like a sweet, if slightly eccentric stranger who was still holding onto hurt over some playground teasing from her school days at the hands of Walford’s answer to Regina George, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

That escalated quickly. Bea went full Fatal Attraction and started Single White Female-ing the heck out of Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton), manipulating her way into staying under her room and even taking out a credit card in her name, running up eye-watering amounts of debt.

This did not go down well with Honey’s hubbie Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick), who didn’t take kindly to this maniacal moocher eating them out of house and home and constantly pressures his missus to give her the boot.

Easier said than done. Honey’s BFF from hell doesn’t like hearing the word no and went off like a nuclear bomb every time the Mitchells gently suggested it was time she packed her bags – from trashing McClunky’s to sabotaging Billy’s ladder, which badly backfired in an accident that left Honey severely injured.

Bea was ultimately the architect of her own downfall, when she picked a bad choice for her next target, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt).

Her desperate attempt to woo Ian led to some seriously unhinged behaviour when she tried to manipulate the council campaign in his favour. Ian wanted nothing to do with the deranged diva after that, and exposed her credit card fraud to the horrified Mitchells. This finally led to Bea being kicked out.

But Bea’s not finished just yet.

In a final blow to Walford’s sweetest couple, she plans to convince Honey that Billy is having an affair by creating an incriminating fake AI recording of his voice.

How will the ballad of bunny-boiling Bea end? One things for sure – with one hell of a bang.

Appearing on This Morning, Ronnie Ancona chatted to hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley about her time on EastEnders after it was confirmed last week that she would be departing the soap.

But before Bea can leave Walford in her rearview mirror, she hinted at her final deranged act on the Square to torment Honey and Billy one last time.

‘This leads to a big showdown in the Vic and that’s just for starters,’ Ancona teased on This Morning. ‘And that kicks off a whole new level.’

‘You always knew she’d have an arc,’ Cat Deeley offered, which Ancona confirmed.

‘Yes,’ she said. ‘It was a real privilege and I was asked to do it.

‘They wanted to bring some dark humour, sort of malevolence but make it a bit funny.

‘And actually, they’d said to me, “It’ll be perfect for you, Ronni. It’s a really annoying, deranged, disturbed character. It’s perfect for you.” And I’m like, [flatly] “Yayyy”.’

Yayyy indeed! The question is, will Bea finally get Honey? Or is she about to get stung?
