EastEnders wedding drama confirmed as Ravi tries to seal future with Priya
EastEnders’ Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) makes a huge gesture to try and get back with Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan-Levy) this week, while having no idea that the fella she has secretly been bunking up with is none other than Max Branning (Jake Wood).
Since learning that his ex Priya had moved on with someone else, Ravi has been a man on a mission to try and win her back, and even vowed to kill her new man when he’d worked out his identity.
Fortunately for Max, he’s not made much in the way of progress on the latter, but Ravi makes moves on winning Priya back this week.
Priya begins to thaw towards Ravi after their daughter Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) plays matchmaker between them.
This prompts Ravi to seek some advice from his best mate Zack Hudson (James Farrar), who encourages him to show Priya how much he loves her.
Not one to do things in small measures, Ravi interprets this as meaning he should propose.
Meanwhile, Priya hooks up with Max once again, and after they oversleep on the day of his bride Cindy Beale’s (Michelle Collins) hen do, they somehow find themselves roped into sorting last-minute hen party arrangements.
Priya starts to feel guilty about what she and Max are up to – but just as her conscience starts to rear its head, Ravi makes things even more complicated by getting down on one knee and popping the question.
Viewers will have to wait and see just how Priya responds, but given she later heads to Max’s flat to call time on their affair, it suggests that a wedding is on the horizon.
However, there’s unlikely to be a happy ending, as fans have been speculating that Ravi could be the gunman we saw in the New Year’s Day flashforward episode, who was out for revenge against Max…
