There’s huge moments and possible twists air on Emmerdale next week, according to new spoilers.

Charity Dingle flees in the midst of a breakdown, as her mental health spirals in the wake of her recent assault at the hands of Dr Todd. As her lies finally catch up with her, it could be the moment the truth about baby Leyla comes out.

Elsewhere, we finally find out who Serena Sugden is, and how she is related to the Sugdens. More details are revealed about this plot next week.

Also, spoilers confirm the return of Kev Townsend, and the reason why his son Lewis Barton has been taken hostage. We find out who has him, and what Kev and Ross Barton need to do in order to save Lewis.

Kev returns and Lewis’ abductor is revealed

Kev returns, as Ross finds out Lewis has been abducted, with a message confirming he’s at risk unless his father returns ‘Penny’ to the kidnapper (Image:ITV)

Ross takes action to save Lewis

Kev and Ross have a scuffle, with Kev soon revealing that ‘Penny’ is a diamond he pawned at a shop. Ross demands he get the diamond back, and soon a suspicious Ross knocks him unconscious before setting off to meet with Kylie

Lewis’ abductor revealed

As Ross sets off to find Kev, he’s approached by Kylie who reveals she is holding Lewis captive. Demanding the return of ‘Penny’, she leaves Liam and Ross concerned it’s a life and death matter

Kylie threatens Lewis

Lewis is anxious as he begs Kylie not to hurt him, while Kylie soon sends more threats to Ross

Serena Sugden arrives

Sarah and Robert are shocked to come face-to-face with a relative named Serena, after more than a decade. She’s revealed to be Robert’s cousin

Mack tries to help Charity

Charity and Cain bond over their struggles. Charity urges Cain to reach out to Moira and Liam, while Charity refuses to divulge what’s happened to her. Mack is struggling with looking out for Charity after her breakdown, and Chas feels guilty for hiding Charity’s secrets

Charity flees before punching a stranger

As Mack tries to get through to his wife, she speeds off in a car. Broken, Charity stands on the edge of a lake and ignores Mack’s phone calls. As her family fails to find her, Mack decides to call the police. At the lake, Charity is approached by a stranger who spots her distress. When the stranger goes to touch Charity, encouraging her to open up, Charity punches them. As Charity apologises, the stranger recognises why she may have acted out. Charity prepares to open up to the stranger, unaware that back home, Mack is asking Chas if there’s anything he should know

Caleb works out Archie and Kerry’s scam

Caleb suspects Archie may be behind the Steph scam and pretends to offer Archie paid work using AI at the depot. When he finds evidence, he confronts the teenager, only for Archie to claim it was Kerry’s idea
