Hollyoaks confirms who helps Mercedes destroy Jenson – and it’s unexpected
Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) receives help from an unexpected source in Hollyoaks next week amid her mission to get rid of Jenson Cole (Ryan Clayton), who has proven a thorn in her side.
Jenson, as viewers know, rocked up in the village earlier this year on a mission to destroy Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas), who was subsequently revealed to be his brother.
The newcomer attempted to steal Warren’s life, embarking on a relationship with Mercedes and emulating his sibling’s role as a nightclub owner – but it all came crashing down last month when he proved threatening towards Mercy.
Horrified by his behaviour, Mercedes broke things off with Jenson and subsequently reunited with Warren.
Jenson, meanwhile, hid in plain sight for a short time before coming out of the shadows to reveal that wants nothing more than to build a relationship with Warren.
At first, Warren refused to give him another chance but after Sebastian Blake’s (Teddie Williamson) leukaemia returned, he reconsidered.
Warren asked Jenson to get tested to see if he’s a match and, to his shock, he was.
Jenson has since moved in to Warren’s flat but despite Warren’s insistence on giving his long-lost brother another shot, Mercedes reckons Jenson is up to no good.
After a conversation with Warren, the former Dog landlady speaks to Jenson in the carpark next week, apologising to him.
But a van speeds towards Jenson in subsequent scenes – and he later tells Gemma Johnston (Tisha Merry) that someone is out to get them.
Mercedes, meanwhile, is adamant that Jenson isn’t being totally honest and, still fearing that he’s still up to no good, she takes it upon herself to get proof, breaking into the garage.
Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) soon arrives and he’s shocked to see that she has just let herself in. And things take a turn when Mercy gets more than she bargained for!
Later, Rex agrees to see what dirt he can dig up on Jenson. The question is: will he find what Mercedes is looking for? And if so, will it be enough to prove to Warren that he cannot be trusted?
Mercedes is later summoned to the hospital alongside Jenson, but just what has happened?
Jenson, as fans know by now, is working for Gemma, who is leading a secret criminal operation, which the villagers remain unaware of.
