Hollyoaks’ Mercedes to uncover Jenson’s secret ahead of tragic hospital news

Hollyoaks‘ Mercedes McQueen is set to uncover Jenson Cole’s secret ahead of tragic hospital news involving Warren Fox’s son, Sebastian, who is currently in hospital after his leukaemia returned.

In last week’s scenes, Gemma learned that Jenson was a wanted fugitive in Spain after he stole money from a wealthy businessman’s bank account.

Gemma told Jenson that she had never left the criminal underworld, and it was revealed that she was laundering money through her salon. Using what she knew about Jenson, Gemma blackmailed him into working for her.

Mercedes used to be in a relationship with Jenson, but she is now back with her on-off partner, Warren (Jenson’s half-brother).

In next week’s scenes, Mercedes remains convinced that Jenson is up to no good, but Warren just wants to focus his attention on Sebastian.

Wanting to make peace, Mercedes speaks to Jenson in the car park of The Dog and apologises to him.

After a van suddenly speeds up towards Jenson, he tells Gemma that he thinks someone is coming after them.

Convinced that Jenson is hiding something, Mercedes takes it upon herself to get proof of his misdeeds.

Rex is shocked to find Mercedes has let herself into the garage to check their CCTV, but she finds more than she bargained for, and Rex agrees to see what dirt they can dig up on Jenson.

Later, when Mercedes is moving into Warren’s place, Jenson receives a call from Warren asking him and Mercedes to go to the hospital.

Elsewhere, Tony throws a fundraiser for leukaemia in support of Sebastian, and Gemma comforts Warren at the hospital.

“Mercedes knows Jenson more than most, so is convinced that he is hiding something,” said our Hollyoaks insider. “Suspicious about his shady behaviour, she’ll stop at nothing to get to the bottom of what Jenson is up to.

“But as she ropes in Rex to help her investigate, Mercedes is forced to put this scheme on hold when she and Jenson are called to the hospital by Warren. Has Sebastian taken a turn for the worse?”
