Hollyoaks could be lining up a new love interest for Lucas Hay when he makes his big return to the village. Last month, Digital Spy revealed that Oscar Curtis had returned to filming as Lucas, after the character received a prison sentence in March.
Now, after dropping their summer trailer earlier this week, Hollyoaks is turning its fans into detectives by hiding some big hints about what could be coming up.

In a new video on the soap’s Instagram page fans are told to: “Keep an eye out on Hollyoaks’ socials for sneaky spoilers scattered all over the six weeks of summer.”
The first spoiler is hidden inside the video itself, as we get a blink and you’ll miss it shot of Lucas and a man whose face has been covered with a shushing face emoji.
So who could the mystery man be? Over on X, fans were excited by the tease and got to speculating about the man’s identity.

When Lucas was last in the village he was in a relationship with Dillion, who left the soap back in March. Now Lucas faces coming home without Dillion and needing to make serious amends with his father Ste.
Our Hollyoaks insider previously teased: “Lucas will be heading back to the village after being released from jail. When we last saw him, he was ready to face the consequences of his behaviour after months of violent outbursts, so it’ll be interesting to see if he’s a changed lad once he’s back.
“Can Lucas make a fresh start with his dad Ste after the horrors of their child-to-parent abuse story, or is there more drama to come? And with long-term boyfriend Dillon gone, where does Lucas’s personal life go from here?”
