Hollyoaks stars fuel real-life romance rumours amid on-screen drama

A new Instagram post has stirred speculation.

Hollyoaks stars Anya Lawrence and Lewis Walton have fuelled real-life romance rumours. The two play the roles of Vicky Grant and Caleb Keane on the soap, with the characters currently caught in a love triangle.

The latter has been unsure of his feelings towards Frankie Osborne, while also hiding the secret from everyone that Vicky tried to kiss him – secrets that could potentially come to light soon.

Amid the on-screen drama, Anya appears to have confirmed on Instagram that she and Lewis are an item in real life, and according to The Sun, the couple are dating off-screen.

Sharing a series of holiday photographs on Instagram, two of the pictures in her carousel contain Lewis – one being a mirror selfie together showing the pair holding each other close.

“Last few weeks in a few different places,” Anya captioned the post.

“You young sexy people!!” wrote co-star Nadine Mulkerrin (Cleo McQueen) in the comments, to which Anya jokingly replied: “Oh stop it you!!”

“Jaw to the floor,” added Isabelle Smith (Frankie), while Jennifer Metcalfe (Mercedes McQueen) shared: “Ohhhh.”

Anya first joined the soap as Vicky in 2022, while former Coronation Street star Lewis was cast earlier this year as part of the new Keane family, signing up alongside Emmerdale‘s Matthew Wolfenden, Corrie‘s Rebecca Ryan, and singer Sam Meyer.

Speaking at the time, Lewis said of his role: “My character is charismatic, sporty and someone who’s always been the fun, positive presence in the room. He’s incredibly close to his family and determined to follow in his dad’s footsteps, while chasing big ambitions of his own, especially when it comes to sport.

“But life doesn’t always go to plan, and an unexpected challenge will force him to dig deeper than ever before…”
