Kat rescues gloomy Kim after she is left heartbroken over Denise in EastEnders

Kim Fox is supposed to be celebrating one of the happiest moments of her life in EastEnders next week, but things don’t exactly go to plan when Denise leaves her feeling heartbroken.

It’s the day of Kim and Cindy Beale’s joint hen dos, but Kim’s plans quickly take a back seat when she heads to hospital to celebrate with Denise.

Kim is understandably excited to spend some time with her sister, but it soon becomes clear that Denise isn’t really up for celebrating.

With Denise unable to get into the hen do spirit, Kim cuts the celebrations short and heads back to the Square feeling rather deflated.

Thankfully, Kat Slater is on hand to pick up the pieces.

Kat spots that Kim is down and does her best to lift her spirits, encouraging her to put the disappointment behind her and join Cindy’s celebrations.

It could be just what Kim needs, particularly with so much going on around her.

While Kim is dealing with her disappointment, Cindy’s hen do is already threatening to descend into chaos thanks to Max Branning.

Max wakes up in Priya Nandra-Hart’s bed after the pair spent the night together and immediately realises he’s overslept.

Things become even more awkward when he spots several missed calls from Cindy.

Panicking, Max quickly gets dressed and heads out, only to bump into Cindy at the café.

He manages to come up with an excuse for his late arrival, and surprisingly, Cindy seems to buy it.

With no idea what Max has really been up to, Cindy then ropes Priya into helping with the last-minute preparations for the hen party.

For Priya, though, the situation is becoming increasingly uncomfortable.

She knows she’s helping Cindy organise her celebrations while secretly carrying on an affair with Max, and the guilt is starting to get to her.

Things become even more complicated when Ravi Gulati invites Priya to the Boxing Den.

There, he has a huge surprise waiting for her and gets down on one knee to propose.

Suddenly, Priya is faced with an impossible situation.

She has been sneaking around with Max, while Ravi is ready to take their relationship to the next level.

After the proposal, Priya makes a decision.

She heads straight to Max’s flat, determined to put an end to their affair once and for all.

But with Cindy’s hen celebrations still taking place, Priya can’t exactly disappear without raising questions.

Instead, she returns to help with the festivities, attempting to put the drama with Max behind her.

And while Kim may have been left heartbroken by Denise, Kat looks determined to make sure her friend doesn’t spend her big day feeling miserable.

With weddings, secret affairs and surprise proposals all colliding on the Square, it certainly won’t be a quiet hen do.
