New romance for Coronation Street’s Glenda confirmed but it won’t last
Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) has been unlucky in love on Coronation Street.
Beyond a short lived relationship with Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell), she hasn’t had a lot going on on the romance front.
But her hopes are set to soar next week when she meets handsome stranger Fraser, and falls head over heels for him.
Fraser’s trip to the cobbles is purely business, but as a personal driver, he has some free time to spare while his passenger runs her errands.
Of course, he makes a beeline for the local pub, where Glenda is instantly smitten.
The pair get chatting, and by the time he has to leave, Glenda has successfully secured his number and a date.
Unfortunately, things are set to take a downward spiral when Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) gets involved.
Todd has had a rough year, and though his loved ones are sympathetic to that, they band together to confront him about how much he’s been drinking since returning from his trip to Thailand.
Glenda doesn’t hold back on the tough love, and clearly leaves him furious when she warns him to stop treating his friends like dirt, or he’ll lose them all.
With Todd silently seething, he can’t believe his luck when he learns that Fraser is gay and a plot to get his own back on Glenda unfolds.
How will she take his harsh revenge? And is she right? Could Todd be set to push all of his friends away?
