Hollyoaks unveils menacing Jonah Keane cliffhanger in big party twist

Hollyoaks unveiled a menacing cliffhanger involving Jonah Keane, with the village newcomer going to extreme lengths to control people as a celebratory party turned into a nightmare.
Jonah arrived in Cheshire earlier this year with Beth, Caleb and Maddox, and has appeared affable as he made several friends. More recently, however, it has been teased that he’s harbouring dark secrets of his own.

In Monday’s (10 August) episode of the Channel 4 soap, Jonah disclosed a family secret to Caleb in a bid to keep him close to home. He shared that he and his late wife almost broke up before her passing, after she had an affair and nearly ran off with another man.
Tuesday’s (11 August) instalment began in the aftermath of the revelation, with Jonah preparing a BBQ to celebrate the birthday of his late wife. Given what happened the previous night, Caleb didn’t think it was the best idea.
The whole situation only provided Caleb further incentive to move away from Cheshire with Frankie, while Darren and Mercedes found it strange that everybody was gathering to celebrate the life of a woman most of them never knew.
Beth, meanwhile, attempted to patch things up with Frankie, and the pair shared a heartfelt conversation about their pasts. At the same time, Jonah tried his best to explain his actions to Caleb.
It backfired, however, as Caleb said that his father’s version of love was merely finding a way to control the entire family dynamic. He said that this had only pushed him away further, and reiterated his desire to move away with Frankie.

Jonah confided in Myra that he was struggling to repair things with Caleb, and he was also nervous at the thought of people not enjoying themselves at the BBQ. With all this in mind, he hatched a devious plan to improve the mood.
He had swiped Beth’s medication, and put it to use as Darren and Mercedes said they were about to leave. Instead of letting them go, he tempted them with tiramisu, and crushed the medication in the dessert…
