Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) has been causing trouble on Coronation Street ever since she first reunited with sister Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) earlier this year.

From pocketing books and spreading rumours about her neighbours, to stealing guns and physically assaulting Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), Jodie has proved to be a menace who can’t be trusted.

And yet, she continues to get away with her misdeeds… Until now, it seems.

Viewers will know that Shona and David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) have had a tough time since the birth of daughter Harper, who has been in the NICU following an operation to remove a tumour during her delivery.

Next week, the day finally comes that they can bring their baby girl home, and they arrive back to a surprise party in celebration.

However, the atmosphere sours when Jodie arrives, and what she has to say leaves the family in shock.

She reveals that she has told the police the truth about the attack on Sarah, before begging them to let her stay while she awaits her court case.

Viewers will recall that Jodie attacked Sarah on the night of Theo’s murder, unwittingly providing her with a near-perfect alibi.

When Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) visits Sarah in prison, she is quick to share the story of Jodie’s unexpected arrival and confession.

Meanwhile, Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) pulls Jodie aside and begins to question her about the trinket box she has found hidden under the couch, that Sarah had warned David and Shona about.

Viewers will recall that Jodie had been stashing the items she’s stolen from her neighbours, like Brian Packham’s (Peter Gunn) book and a cut out of Bernie Winter’s (Jane Hazlegrove) from a photograph, in a trinket box, and Sarah had caught a glimpse inside just before her attack.

When Shona and David question Jodie on the contents of the trinket box, how will she respond?

Whatever is hidden inside has Lily feeling wary, and Jodie tries her best to win her round.

When Jodie spots Lily attempting to defend Harry against bullies in the precinct, she steps in, capturing a photo of the lads as they flee.

At home, Lily recounts Jodie’s heroism to David.

However, this is Jodie, and apparently she is allergic to good deeds, and the only antidote is yet more mischief.

So, it is hardly surprising when she later opens her laptop and creates a thread on a forum dedicated to new mums, pretending to be called Shona and describing her experience as a first-time mum who had a traumatic birth.

What is Jodie playing at this time? Will there ever be an end to her scheming?
