HOLLYOAKS actor Callum Kerr has revealed his wife is pregnant with their second child after a horrifying family tragedy.
The screen star, who played PC George Kiss on the Channel 4 soap between 2020 and 2021, uploaded a sweet snap showing him kissing his spouse while cradling her bump.
Callum, who married wife Lauren in January, told how they were expecting a little boy at “the end of the year”, in a happy boost after the tragic murder-suicide of his mum.
The 32-year-old Scot uploaded two snaps showing himself and Lauren dressed in matching blue attire.
She was seen showing off her bump in a blue bandeau dress as the pair posed on the dancefloor, with Callum placing a protective hand on her belly.
They then shared a kiss outside the glam venue in a romantic moment.
He wrote in his caption: “Promoting our daughter to a big sister role.
“Wee laddie on the way at the end of the year”.
His former Hollyoaks co-star Nikki Sanderson, who recently welcomed her first child, wrote: “Congratulations”.
Fellow soap star Nadine Mulkerrin then wrote: “Gorgeous, gorgeous”.
Owen Warner then put: “Congrats you beautiful people”.
The pair welcomed their daughter Isla back in 2023.
Their new baby news was revealed just six months after Callum and Lauren said their ‘I Dos’ with an all-out bash surrounded by loved ones at a castle in the Highlands.
Their wedding came just 11 months after a heartbreaking family tragedy for the star – when his mum and stepdad were found dead in their France home.
The bodies of Callum’s mum Dawn Searle, 56, and her husband Andrew, 62, were discovered in Les Pesquiès, south of Villefranche-de-Rouergue, in a suspected murder-suicide in February last year.
Investigators believe Callum’s step-father Andrew killed Dawn, then tried to stage the scene to fake a robbery before he hung himself.
Callum, who is now working as a country singer based in Nashville, was the one to walk his mother down the aisle when she married Andrew in September 2023.
Callum also starred in Netflix‘s Virgin River – playing young Everett, Mel’s father, in the most recent series.
He has over 135,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and released his track Cold Beer Cold just hours after his mum’s death.
He also joined forces with sister Amanda to climb Sicily’s Mount Etna to mark what would have been their mum’s 58th birthday in May.
