Hollyoaks star denies exit reports: “When is a scoop not a scoop?”
She's not going anywhere.
Hollyoaks star Dawn Hope has shut down rumours of an imminent exit for her character Pearl Anderson after reports suggested the soap star might be leaving soon. Taking to social media, the actor called rumours that surfaced today suggesting Hope would film her final scenes next month a “dud”.
In a video posted to Instagram, Hope described the Hollyoaks cast and crew as “family” and added: “So when is a scoop not a scoop?”
“I love Hollyoaks and I’m hanging out with them, I’m looking forward to hanging out longer,” she said.

The star confirmed she’s also auditioned for a different project, but highlighted that it didn’t mean she would be leaving Hollyoaks.
“Just because actors do workshops and I’ve just done an audition at the Lyric [Hammersmith, theatre] today… love getting into a room without doing a self-tape, it’s great exercise… stretching, working on different projects,” she said.
“A workshop is not an exit from a contract you’ve already got. Hollyoaks are one of the best family people I’ve ever worked with in the industry and I’m gonna hang out with them.”
Hope joined the Channel 4 series as Pearl back in 2021, arriving in Chester with her daughter, Sharon Bailey. She is currently the manager of Price Slice and is in a relationship with Jack Osborne, with the couple set to get married after a sweet, if a little dramatic, proposal over the festive season last year.
The couple won’t be getting to walk down the aisle anytime soon though, as executive producer Hannah Cheers confirmed last month.

“There might be another couple of weddings that end up elbowing them out of the schedule!” Cheers told Inside Soap.
“We absolutely love Jack and Pearl and they’re so important to the fabric of the show. But there’s so much that has to happen fast so we can get to certain points, and it’s really important to still have that grain of believability.
“The reality is that Jack and Pearl would be enjoying a long engagement, and I think that’s a demonstration of their commitment to each other.”
