Jimmy’s final betrayal ‘confirmed’ ahead of legend’s devastating Emmerdale death

We’re bracing ourselves for the impending loss of our Mr Light-Relief Jimmy King (Nick Miles) from Emmerdale, but does he go out in a blaze of glory, or a shower of shame?

While that’s still to be determined, there are hints that his exit won’t involve heroics, and could even be at the hands of his own dear wife.

And with speculation Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) might even be getting it on with Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill), perhaps Jimmy’s untimely demise is calculated?

Jimmy is certainly not the model husband, in fact even he’d probably agree he’s mediocre at best, and his recent decision to ditch his responsibilities for nine holes with Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) just hammered home his feelings towards his husbandly duties. Digging his own grave, as it were.

Nicola and Jimmy have always had a feisty relationship, but they’ve always found their way back to the love. That seems to be about to run out, right before the poor man snuffs it.

Perhaps being friends with Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) and Manpreet isn’t helping – Nicola is seeing her friends being romanced by the local farm hand hottie while Jimmy is more bothered about swinging his wood elsewhere.

Nicola shares her worries with her husband that their marriage is stale, who reacts by organising a date.

So far so good, looks like he’s finally acknowledging Nicola’s needs. Except he’s not – his date plans have less to do with sprucing up their sex life and more to with him encouraging her to get her hands on his shaft – of his golf clubs.

He brings his bag of clubs to the café and Nicola’s heart sinks. In her fury, she shoves the bag, and in a Love Actually moment, a jewellery box falls out. Now this is Jimmy we’re talking about, with all the romance of a cow pat, and instantly Nicola knows the jewellery is not for her.

Does Jimmy’s exit involve murder – a scorned wife throttling her love-rat husband?
