Who rumbles Sarah and Charity on Emmerdale ‘sealed’ after Dr Todd’s demise
Emmerdale's Sarah Sugden and Charity Dingle are covering up what really happened to Dr Todd after Sarah accidentally killed the villain, but could one character expose the truth?
With a killer secret threatening to tear apart one family on Emmerdale, it could see one character discover a disturbing truth.
Just days ago, Sarah Sugden accidentally killed villain Dr Todd, after a showdown at Charity Dingle’s home. Charity had been left horrified when her rapist and blackmailer Todd entered her home and refused to leave.
Charity demanded a confession over her assault, with Todd once again lying that Charity had made it all up. But as Charity spoke up, Sarah walked in and found out about her grandmother’s ordeal.
Sarah was sickened, and she tearfully called out Todd for what she had done to Charity. When Charity told Todd to get out, Sarah shoved Todd towards the door.
But in doing so, Todd slipped on the rug and fell, slamming her head against a table. Soon, it was revealed Todd had died, and Serena Sugden entered, before helping them cover up the true events.
Charity claimed she had killed Todd, and that Sarah was a witness. But as detectives pick apart their story and Sarah struggles with what’s happened, could one of these characters expose the lie?
Cain Dingle
Sarah’s grandfather Cain Dingle recently promised to be there for Charity if there was ever a time she needed him. There was the significant moment he gave her a St Christopher necklace.
So might Charity now ‘cash in’ on that support and might Cain help her and Sarah? Could Cain figure out that Charity is covering for their granddaughter, and be there for both of them?
Serena Sugden
Serena walked in on the crime scene had has since told Charity and Sarah not to drag her into it. The former police officer helped them fabricate their story about Charity being to blame, and even tried to fake evidence.
But what if Serena is forced to reveal the truth to cover her own tracks? Could she end up betraying Sarah and Charity, and telling the police all she knows?
DS Ramsden
Detective DS Ramsden is already investigating the case, so what if she has a breakthrough? She will no doubt want to uncover the full truth and be successful with the case.
So with her already asking questions and her team also quizzing both Sarah and Charity about what happened, will Ramsden uncover Sarah’s guilty? How long can Charity and Sarah conceal the truth from Ramsden?

Charity’s husband Mackenzie Boyd is in the dark about the secret. Will he start to realise something is up with them, and that there’s more to Charity’s murder claim, with Charity having taken the blame?
Can she really keep this from him if her future is so uncertain? With Mack expected to take some time away from the show, with actor Lawrence Robb taking part on Strictly Come Dancing, will he uncover Sarah’s guilty and Charity’s sacrifice and leave the village in some way? Or perhaps he will ask Sarah to reveal all to the police to save his wife.
Jacob Gallagher
Jacob was being bullied by his boss Todd at the hospital they worked in, way before his wife Sarah killed her. As Sarah continues to hide her link to Todd’s demise, might Jacob figure out the truth?
