It’s official! Loved up EastEnders stars hard launch their romance

As anybody who’s a millennial or younger knows, nothing is official until it hits social media, and former EastEnders couple Shona McGarty and Tony Discipline’s recent social media output has finally made their rumoured romance official.
Taking to her official TikTok, Shona shared a hilarious clip of her and Tony undertaking the accent challenge yesterday, which saw them eventually collapse into fits of laughter
She captioned the clip: ‘accent challenge with my Man…@tony (God it feels so good to say that)’
Now, if that isn’t a hard launch, we don’t know what is!
In a truly adorable comment on the video, @SimplyAdHdSez said: ‘As a Millennial & Eastenders longtime watcher I remember you two on the show together and to see you like this again in the real all these years later I loveeee. I met my love at 21 we split up at 23 and have been back together for a year and a half now. I love second chance love.’
@ells also commented on the video: ‘TYLER MOON & WHITNEY IN REAL LIFE NO FKN WAYYYYYY’
Only a day prior to the TikTok, Shona uploaded a carousel of images to Instagram from a recent holiday they shared together, captioning the post: ‘The best trip away with Mi Amor @tonydiscipline’
Tony himself replied in the comment section with: ‘Te Amo’.
One of the pictures in the post showed the two in the process of getting matching tattoos, which appear to be of a popped toaster, next to a pineapple and palm tree.
Make of that what you will.

Rumours began to swirl that the former on-screen couple had taken their romance off-screen earlier this year.
Shona shared a snap of the twosome to her Instagram story, which set tongues wagging.
Sharing a snap of them kitted out in St. Patrick’s Day fits as they celebrated the occasion in a night club, the two looked incredibly close, sending fans into a nostalgia-induced tizzy.

As long-time viewers will remember, their on-screen characters, Whitney Dean and Tyler Moon were in a tumultuous, infidelity-filled relationship, that eventually saw Tyler depart the show in 2014.
Whitney stuck around for a further 10 years before leaving Walford in 2024, with a one-off appearance coming in 2026.
When the two later appeared together at the Women’s Football Awards, fans were further convinced that there was something going on between them, with their incredibly stylish co-ordinating outfits and affectionate poses on the red carpet.
The third piece of the love triangle storyline that brought their characters together, Ricky Norwood, commented on the post: ‘What a throwback! Great pic! Sending you both big [love]’
_parkersbeth wrote: ‘PLEASE TELL ME YOU’RE A COUPLE OH MY GOD’, while @siobhain_walsh_ added: ‘Is this a soft launch?’
Apparently, it was!

Previously, Tony had been in a relationship with Jacqueline Jossa, who still plays Lauren Branning on the soap, while Shona had been in a relationship with Matt Lapinskas, who portrayed Tony’s on-screen brother, Anthony Moon.
A source recently told The Sun: ‘They’ve been good friends for years. While there’s always been an attraction there, they were always in relationships.
‘But after they both found themselves single, things began to heat up. They are taking things slowly and really enjoying each other’s company.
‘Shona is very happy. He’s a lovely guy, and all their mutual friends think they are a fantastic match. He’s just her type.’
