Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) is probably the very last person on  Coronation Street you’d want coming to a child’s rescue.

Not only did she try and fail to sabotage her half-sister , Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) by trying (and failing) to seduce David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), but she’s responsible for assaulting Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).

That ain’t the half of it.

The only reason Jodie attacked Sarah because of how close she was to discovering the creepy box of trinkets that the bunny-boiling baddie had stolen from their neighbours, such asBrian Packham’s (Peter Gunn) book, Bernie Winter’s (Jane Hazlegrove) photograph…

… or Carl Webster’s (Jonathan Howard) gun.

This was found by Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) of all people. Not exactly a child friendly household. Obviously, this didn’t go down to well with Shona and David.

Jodie has a habit of crashing head first into other people’s stories, and it seems that Tim (Joe Duttine) and, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) are next.

Weatherfield’s Keeping Up Appearances couple are having problems of her own. Tim’s friendly cousin, Richie’s (Nathan Sussex) who rocked up recently, is apparently a killer whokilled his wife Rachel in cold blood.

Richie is now in prison for murder.

Tim can’t help feel responsible, seeing as he was the one who encouraged Richie to return home and work out his differences with Rachel.

Therefore he feels an obligation to Rachel and Richie’s daughter Lucy to take her in when her foster care placement falls through. been put into foster care, but Sally learnt in the morning that the placement had fallen through.

Quite understandably, Lucy is incredibly traumatised from her mother’s violent death and has already proved volatile, screaming at Tim that he doesn’t really care about her.

They’re deailing with a girl who can be triggered into a frenzy by the slightest noise. Sally and Tim are out of their depth.

But maybe Jodie isn’t.

If anyone knows what it’s like to be broken, it’s Jodie. Maybe she can reach out to the poor girl and do some good for once. And in next week’s Coronation Street, she gets her chance

A scream wakes Sally and Tim, who find Lucy wide-eyed after a terrible nightmare

Tim annoys Sally by trying to offload his own guilt, saying Rachel would still be alive if Sally had let Richie stay.

Later, Lily finds Lucy alone in Victoria Garden. When Lucy ignores her, Lily calls her a freak and tries to leave, but Lucy grabs Lily’s arm until Jodie intervenes.
